Grand Canyon

You don’t really see the expanse of the Grand Canyon until about five seconds before you hit the edge. At 8000 feet, there are still patches of snow in April, and the incline prevents you from seeing what lies between you and the other side. When your eyes finally meet the vertical horizon, however, you’re at a loss for words--and breath. It’s literally the only time in life I’ve seen something so beautiful that it made me have to catch my breath.
