Manu Rainforest, Peru

“I´m consistently amazed that random mutations can lead to leaf-cutter ants that gather leaves just so they can eat the fungus that grows on them, or weaver birds who are born knowing how to stitch twigs into sturdy nests that hang two feet off the branches, or even monkeys with opposable thumbs. When I read about the debate surrounding evolution, I smile and think of life as a snowflake: chaos frozen, fleeting, complex and perfectly random but uniquely beautiful.”
